How To Improve Students selfesteem?

  • At the beginnig of the class, use tricks like: Tell the student at your right: You Look Great Today. At the end of the class, thell that same student: Now You Look Awesome.
  • Always ask students on Mondays, "What made you happy this weekend?"
  • Encourage them to treat each other with respect. Remind them that all of us art Masterpieces, and we deserve to be treated as such!

Tips for Teaching Adjectives by Following Neuroscience Principles

I recently attended a conference about neuroscience, and I'd like to share some tips with you for teaching adjectives:

Activity 1:The Gifts
a.Acccording to the amount of students, tell them to write numbers ( eg. 1-10 if there are 20 students; 1-7, if there are 18, etc..)
b. Students will ask each other the characteristic they project (adjectives). If students don't know the English word, they must look for it in the dictionary.
c. Ask students to share their answers.
d. Students will be told that those are the gifts they received that day. They'll love it!
Activity 2:Let's Use Our Cellphones

a. Since students cann't live without their cell phones, tell them that they'll call 5 people(family, and friends) who will describe them with three words (adjectives).
b. Those traits must be translated into English.
c. The closing activity is for them to reflect upon their classmates' answers and the ones they got from their phone calls.

Hope You Like It!
